New Blogger, New Wife

I just started this blog today. I've been a bit bored around the house, since my husband has recently gone back to work full time since our honeymoon (which was actually back in March). I really liked my writing classes in college so I decided it would be a good idea to start this; and, perhaps, "make me grow as a person", as Michael says, at least more than my usual activities like shopping, picking out beautiful new things for our house, etc.

I also just want to let people know that being a stay-at-home wife is harder than our current society gives credit. It's a lot of work! Everyday I have tons to do, plus, I always have to look beautiful not only for my husband, but for everyone around us. Its not like I just sit and watch soap operas all day in the air-conditioning. I strive to be the best wife a man could ever wish for–and not just physically–on every level. So getting back into my writing I think will be a very important part of my personal development, and life as a new wife.

My Shopping Finds Today
« I've been painstakingly going through literally every estate sale and antique shop on the west coast of Florida looking for a perfect vintage chandelier for our foyer, and I think I finally found the one! Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, its French vintage! It gives off the most immaculate soft light.
